Installing kitchen cabinets — Andy Bell of Handyman Matters shows us how to install base and upper kitchen cabinets. Using standard 30inch base cabinets, he first makes sure the floor is level, and then puts the base cabinets in place. Next he connects the base frames so they look clean and professional, pre-drilling the holes so that the brittle wood doesn’t crack. He makes sure the cabinet faces are flush, countersinks the screws so that they don’t stick out, and connects the base cabinets together. The next step is to find the framing of the house so he can screw the cabinets securely to the wall. Taking doors off before setting the cabinets makes the job a lot easier. Upper cabinets are installed similarly, but require two people to lift the cabinets and hold them in place.

@brovin10
Is that like 11th commencement?
What else should not be stressful? Life in general?
Should making money to pay for all those non stressful activities also be not stressful? It is hard to imagine everything in life should be not stressful? Maybe a bit of stress in physical work would actually make it way less expensive so making money to pay for this will be less stressful?
Don’t take it personally please. I just get tired of the idea that all in life should be pleasant ..
It isn’t
Good video.
@jimmyjamesros, your damn right. If you give a shit about doing things right, don’t do it yourself if you don’t have a clue as to what your doing. Go to a custom cabinet company and get them to make your kitchen for you, not just standard factory cabinets, but cabinets build specifically for you. It’s worth the little extra money.
Everyone’s a critic with no video. Thank you for the vid.

Hey now…
I’ll tell you one thing. These TV hosts have to be real quick and to the point given the amount of time they have. They’ve also got to choose the most simple and specific of steps to get it across to the viewers.
Andy did a jam up job as a remodel/tv journalist. John did a great job demonstrating a professional’s work and leaving the commentary to Andy.
This video might not tell you everything you need to know, but it was informanative enough for an evening news spot.
